I liked Megan earlier too, and her balance of family and Will? Worked really well. Unfortunately, here, it became all about her and Will, and the connections to Sage/Rose and the other parts of her job was simplified for the sake of expediency. I think that Megan has slowly become less and less complicted because the rest of the show has grown around her, and there's only so much time in an episode.

I think that something just doesn't feel right for me, but I definitely agree about Sage's awesomeness in this episode. I just think that I'd rather have seen Megan play a more direct role in their lives than, well, off having a pretty ho-hum romantic breakdown. Will and Megan's relationship, in and of itself, doesn't play to the show's strengths in my eyes.

Interesting critique (and one I’ll re-read later when I’m not at work). I actually think that Megan’s loss of objectivity, or perhaps the integrity we saw right at the start – has been realistically shown throughout the season. Her presence and influence on the girls (and even as quickly shown with Will) has obviously made a difference. I really loved, and was proud of Sage, and her actions in the episode. I LOVED how they showed her trying to reason with Luis, and her friendship and loyalty towards Marco. Yes, the Marco&Keith union was rather rushed, and not developed enough.
But I actually think Megan has been one of the stronger female characters on television, and she showed a new vulnerability, I loved the portrayal of issues with her family, and how she struggled to constantly please everyone; whilst trying to fully satisfy Will as a girlfriend. I think Megan’s character shows a very real human transition – wanting to be completely independent, wanting to be a great role model, and mentor for two young girls, whilst also trying to grow in herself, and trying to write a book, or be a journalist; while she fell in love. I truly hope that that wasn’t the series finale – and it is JUST a season finale. Anyway.. my two cents!
