The Top 10 Episodes of 2010

Cultural Learnings’ Top 10 Episodes of 2010 follow four basic criteria:

1) Only One Episode Per Series

This is a tough choice, but I think it’s necessary – otherwise, a number of shows would dominate the list, and I’m going to let there place on the Series list reflect this.

2) Some Preference to Series which Missed Series List

I’ve made a Series list this year, and a number of shows didn’t make the list – accordingly, I sort of leaned towards the shows which just missed that list here, and in some cases chose to cut the shows in favor of certain standout episodes.

3) Purely Subjective

I did not write out 50 episodes I liked and start objectively considering which were the ten best – I listed about 15, made some tough cuts, and went with those I thought best exemplified the year in television, the shows in question, and my personal opinion. Accordingly, don’t feel as if the absence of an episode implies I did not like that episode, or even that I think the episode I chose is “better.” It just felt right, is all.

4) These are NOT Ranked

There is no ranking. Posts went up in order of airdate – they have never been ranked, they will never be ranked.
